What do we do?
Is the CFA anti-religious?
Where do we stand on paranormal / alternative medicine / etc issues?

What we do: Our weekly meetings are round-table discussions on varioius topics. We cover everything from religion and politics (and the clash between the two) to ghosts, astronomy, or any other area which we percieve could use a good dose of critical examination.

Are we anti-religious: No. Our group respects others' rights to believe as they wish. We do not think that those who believe are inferior in any way, and we actually encourage people of any faith or no faith alike to join our group to talk about issues they consider important. The only thing we ask is that anyone who joins be prepared to have their beliefs examined and criticized.

Where we stand on paranormal / alternative medicine / etc issues: Is there solid, incontravertible evidence for it? If not, we doubt it's a real phenomenon. By 'doubt', though, we do not mean deny. We mean we are waiting for solid, scientific proof, and until then, we will continue to confront and debate anyone who claims it's real.
